4th year: Wellness Center

This project is currently designed, with three partners.

This is a 800 m² local dedicated to well-being. There will be a spa, sauna, Hammam, several massages, Yoga, stretching, body balance, Pilates, and a dietary coach.

Situated in Lyon, we have connected the architectural concept to the history of the city. We have started from the antique era and the Renaissance, have kept their codes, and have replaced them in a contemporary context. This is the expression of the quote "A healthy mind in a healthy body".

3rd year: Coffee Shop

The (theoretical) client just acquired a 250 m² place, and wanted to create a place where people can work, drink coffee, and meet other people.

I had to think about a good commercial concept which made customers come in, and create their loyalty. The master word was customizing by the consummer : they could find different areas which propose different kind of seats.

I wanted to keep on open space, divided into several areas half closed.  The customer can seat from a stool at the bar, to a pouf, passing by sofas, armchairs and chairs.

Of course, the whole proportions have been thought for human being, so use of the gold number and the Fibonacci Sequence was a necessary option!

3rd year: Cake Shop

This project was a duo work, for a young and ambitious pâtissier. We had to work on a first version which respected the client's wishes ; and then on a second version with our own aesthetic propositions.

For both of them, we started with the name of the place: Le Diable Se Déguise En Gâteau (The Devil Wears Cakes). We used this idea of fancy dress, and decided to wear the cake shop like clothes shops, and so, to use their codes. That's why the customers can find a model in the shop front, cakes suspended by coat-hungers, wall alcoves, and a fitting room.

From an architectural and commercial point of view, we worked hard to give an easy way of work to the chef, and created an optimal traffic so as customers have to go everywhere before going out.

For the second project, we proposed to add a mezzanine, in order to get a bigger place to taste. We also had the idea to sell by-products.
